undergrad scholarship 

1.      The Authority’s undergraduate scholarship of $2,500 will be awarded on the basis of merit to an individual who is enrolled full-time in a program of study in the water supply, treatment or distribution field that leads to a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university in the United States.

2.      Applicants must submit a complete application with supporting documents by May 1. Click the link below to download an application.

3.      The applicant must have completed 50 credits of undergraduate work with a minimum GPA of 2.5.

4.      The applicant's prior history of work and/or volunteer activities related to such things as water supply, treatment or distribution, pollution prevention, source water protection, stream biology and chemistry, etc. will be considered as an indicator of future goals.

5.      Acceptance of the scholarship does not obligate the recipient to enter the waterworks field as a career; however, acceptance of the award does obligate the recipient to diligently pursue a waterworks course of study during the award year.

6.      Financial need will be a factor in selection only in cases where all other factors appear equal. In no case shall the award in combination with other scholarships or financial aid exceed the cost of tuition, textbooks, and other scholastic fees.

7.      The scholarship will presented to the recipient at an Authority Board of Directors meeting.
