scholarship award 

1.      The Authority’s graduate scholarship of $4,000 will be awarded on the basis of merit to an individual who is pursuing or planning to pursue a graduate-level degree in the water supply, treatment or distribution field at an accredited college or university in the United States.

2.      Applicants must file a complete application with supporting documents by May 1. Click the link below to download an application.

3.      The applicant must have received a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a waterworks field with a minimum GPA of 2.75.

4.      The applicant must have a letter of acceptance from a graduate school or be pursuing a degree in a field of study applicable to the water supply industry.

5.      The applicant's history of work and/or volunteer activities related to the industry will be considered as an indicator of future goals.

6.      Acceptance of the scholarship does not obligate the recipient to enter the waterworks field as a career; however, acceptance of the award does obligate the recipient to diligently pursue a waterworks course of study during the award year.

7.      Financial need will be a factor in selection only in cases where all other factors appear equal. In no case shall the award in combination with other scholarships or financial aid exceed the cost of tuition, textbooks, and other scholastic fees.

8.      The scholarship will be presented to the recipient at an Authority Board of Directors meeting.
